Break out the party hats, First Avenue has some doozies
Forty years ago Saturday, First Avenue opened its doors for the first time. Joe Cocker christened the place with a two-night stand. This weekend, venerable alt-rockers Spoon settle in for their own two-nighter that also happens to mark the beginning of the venue’s yearlong 40th-anniversary celebration.
