How’s the ‘city’ life in Minneapolis, MN?

I’m a young university student, about to go to Minneapolis for a job. I was wondering, is the nightlife nice in Minneapolis? I’m especially interested in dance clubs, etc…. Are there things to do during the day also, such as nice outdoor restaurants, museums, historical sights? can you recommend any good websites to look at? thanks!

You’re going to love it there! I’m a young professional who’s about to move there in a few months for a job. There is everything from British pubs to gay clubs to outdoor parades/street parties.
The arboretum is gorgeous when the weather is nice, it’s a great place to get outside and enjoy the clear days.
I just googled “minneapolis” to get to the chamber of commerce’s website and the city’s website and have looked at stuff that way. I’ve also got a few friends there who have filled me in (both transplants and they love it).
